Bagram Airbase hit

As we all see that in these last days the number of suicide attacks have increased, after the 3 suicide attacks in one day in Kabul and also about 2 weeks ago a car was arrested in kabul by local police which had explosions on that and they said that the target was ministry of women affairs, but the target was failed. Yesterday a suicide attacker attacked on Bagram airbase and as a result 3 Americans ware injured.

Bagram airbase is one of the biggest military airbase in asia which is for foreign soldiers controlled by Americans in north of Afghanistan and it is built in a very high quality and too much amount of money has been spent on that even some peopl say that the forces which America sends to Iraq are controlled from Bagram. And a report says that about hundreds of people being in Al Qaeda and Taliban group are kept in jail in Bagram airbase.

One of the spokespersons of American soldiers from bagram airbase said that in this attack about 3 local Americans ware injured.
Also the interior ministry of Afghanistan announced that the local police killed a suicide attacker before entering inside the Bagram airbase and they also said that no one has been killed on injured in this attack.

It happens in a time that the NATO spokespersons said that about 3 NATO soldiers died in south of south of Afghanistan he said that the main reason of their death was the injuries that they had due to a bomb explosion on the road, but he didn’t say anything about the nationality of the soldiers, but a Canadian army general said that these soldiers ware from Canada.

From the beginning of the year 2009 about 52 foreigner soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan. These all attacks happens in the time when the new president of USA announced that he will send more soldiers to Afghanistan and the Taliban also announced that we will increase our attacks if they increase the foreign soldiers in Afghanistan.

Now the people are surprised that when the 70000 foreign soldiers + Afghanistan’s local police can not have a good security system here then what will the other soldiers do to come here, when they can not get the security of their own airbase how can they get the security of people in all Afghanistan. So we hope to have a peaceful environment in Afghanistan.

Ghaznawy,

Afghanistan needs no war. The world has misunderstood the nature of afghans. The more you fight with them the happier they are. Let them the way they are and you will see afghans flourishing in all walks of life.

Suicide attacks are regrettable but in a state of war, you can’t underestimate them too.

May afghans have peace in their beautiful country sooner.

Looks like they are going to get ”happier” then with a surge of more troops headed there. Problem is the US left Afghanistan alone, even helped them during Sovier invasion. Then Taliban allowed Bin Laden and Al-Qaida to use their country as their headquarters which resulted in 1000’s of innocents being killed in US and elsewhere. Can’t allow that to happen again. Troops will be there until Bin Laden is eliminated and Taliban agree to not harbor terrorists. Looks like Pakistan is taking over as terrorist training ground. Used to be such a nice and friendly place to visit. Now it is scary, even for the people who live there.

Wars and occupation of someone's country comes at a price. The desire and willingness to sustain casualties forever and it is eventually doomed to failure. If you want to help transform a country war is a false profit!

The indomitable nature of the Afghans is legendary, I think too much money and infrastructure was diverted away from Afghanistan to start Iraq war.

If only Bush administration hadnt gone to Iraq all the money could be spent on building Afganistan infrastructure and maybe things would have been more propitious; in that the Afghan local army and police and institutions would have been financed and work opportunities for people would flourish more and then a quick withdrawal could have ensued.

But some of the money gets wasted or some dissapears from corruption. If war was conducted well and money spent right early on, Afghan people would be better prepared.

As history shows if Afghanistan people reject and grow tired of foreign influence then they will fight the foreigners away, but i just feel hopefully they can try to have a democracy or evolve a democracy that works.

Well said Steven,

It was the wrong policy adopted by Bus Administration that caused the trouble which is now seen as media reports of killings and suicide attacks.

nice comment steven,
the money which comes for Afghanistan only 20/30% of that is spent on building of Afghanistan the rest goes back to foreign countries by paying high amount of salary to foreigner employees and paying too much amount of money to foreign construction companies so nothing will remain for Afghanistan

I think people are forgetting that it has nothing to do with foreign soldiers ”occupying” Afghanistan...

if you wish Afghanistan to be controlled by the Taliban once again, and all that entails - no women’s rights, etc, then by all means we should pull every last soldier out of there. What is happening in Pakistan right now just proves it has nothing to do with foreign occupation and everything to do with power, control and domination by the Taliban.

Perhaps as men you have no problem with women being severely subjugated, as they were and still are to a degree in Afghanistan, but I don’t wish that even on an animal. And I am not a feminist, I just believe women deserve to be treated better than animals.
